Visitors to FISP 2024, from Tuesday, October 22 to Thursday, October 24, will be able to experience a working safety footwear factory in real time. The Brazilian Leather, Footwear and Artifact Technology Institute (IBTeC) and Marluvas Professional Equipment will put the fourth edition of the Safety Model Factory project into practice. In a 700-square-meter space, in partnership with 50 other companies (manufacturers of machinery and equipment, suppliers of inputs and components, and production control systems), 600 pairs of men's shoes, in four different models, will be produced during the three days of the fair.
For IBTeC, participation in FISP “is an excellent opportunity for the institution to publicize both the services already offered for this segment and the new services that are being prepared to be offered soon,” states the institution's executive president, Dr. Valdir Soldi. The PPE sector currently has a significant share in the Institute's results, which offers quality testing and certification laboratories for these products.
IBTeC technical director Paulo Model, responsible for executing the project, highlights the opportunity for business owners to learn about new technologies to optimize their production. “The main objective of the Model Safety Factory is to introduce PPE manufacturers to new technologies to be applied in their industrial plants.” Our proposal is to give fair visitors the opportunity to see up close the application not only of materials, but also of processes, products, and machinery that provide quality and high productivity, Model points out.
Fiera Milano, the organizer of the 24th edition of FISP, expects the trade show to welcome around 50,000 visitors, who will be looking for new products and seeking to foster new business opportunities.
The fair takes place at the São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (Rodovia dos Imigrantes, KM 1.5 – Água Funda, São Paulo/SP), with free admission, from 1 PM to 9 PM.
THE FOUR MODELS THAT WILL BE PRODUCED AT THE FAIR
The four models that will be produced at FISP are:
– Work shoes with a dual-density PU outsole and a lightweight, breathable polyester knit upper. Features a 50% hygienic insole made from recycled PET bottle plastic
– Work shoes with a dual-density PUC outsole and a cut-resistant knit upper. They also feature a 50% hygienic insole made from recycled PET bottles.
Dual-density PU safety footwear, featuring various sustainable and technological attributes in its composition – ecological heel counters made with recycled and natural fibers, non-woven vamp and sweat-absorbent linings, and laminated assembly insoles made from PET bottle fibers, along with an insole partially composed of PET plastic bottle material
– Dual-density PU safety footwear, featuring a microfiber upper with high-frequency applied TPU. It also includes a hygienic PU polyester insole, providing comfort and maximum safety.
