The Sprinkler Brasil Institute has just launched the Fire Map on its website, a tool that offers statistics on incidents reported in the press. The objective is to keep professionals and the public updated and serve as an alert for the prevention of new tragedies. The resource presents, in a dynamic and visual way, the commercial and industrial buildings affected by flames throughout Brazil, with a link directing to the article published in the media. According to Marcelo Lima, general director of ISB, “The Institute, created in 2011, aims to work intensively on employee education and data generation in the sector. With the new map, we have the possibility of streamlining the process, in addition to providing information in a graphical manner, which is easier to analyze. Through the dissemination of knowledge, we will be able to seek more and better answers to the challenges we have permanently encountered in fire safety.”.
