JGB was founded in 1985 by José Geraldo Brasil, through his undergraduate thesis at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, with the theme “Economic Feasibility of Implementing the Personal Protective Equipment Industry in RS”.

JGB's main products are high-value-added PPE, designed to best meet the needs of customers facing risks from high temperatures, electric arcs, firefighting, chemicals, welding, abrasives and slag, pressurized steam, supplied air, face shields, flash fires, molten metal splashes, radiant heat, contact heat, and convective heat.
