Safety footwear manufacturer will demonstrate, live, at Fisp the evolution of the direct injection system

During the event, 400 pairs of three different models of footwear, women's and men's from the Bompel brand, will be produced.

São Paulo, September 2018– To present the technological evolution of safety footwear, mandatory PPE used in accident prevention, a footwear factory will be set up inside the FISP – International Safety and Protection Fair, in partnership with IBTec – Brazilian Institute of Technology for Leather, Footwear and Artifacts. During the event, which takes place from October 3 to 5 in São Paulo, 400 pairs of three different models of women's and men's shoes from the Bompel brand, based in the city of Toledo, in the western part of the State of Paraná, will be produced.

Bompel will participate in the event as a master partner, alongside 40 other companies, including suppliers of inputs, components, machinery, equipment, and logistics systems. The factory will occupy 600 square meters of the exhibition area at the São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center and will have 20 workers on site.

According to Rimantas Sipas, director of Cipa Fiera Milano, organizer of Fisp—the second largest global event focused on the occupational health and safety sector, trailing only A+A, the German trade fair for the industry—“demonstrations of industrial processes are interesting for visitors to learn about certain details that help enhance the product's value. It is also an opportunity for manufacturers to disseminate new technologies, trends, and market innovations.”.

IBTeC technical coordinator Paulo Model states that “it will be the first time in history that the production of footwear with direct injection—a system that fuses the upper (the top part of the shoe) and the sole in a single operation—will be shown inside a trade fair.”.

Marco Augusto Bombonatto, general director of Bompel, anticipates that the footwear to be produced at the trade fair is part of the company's footwear line, and will be brought to the market as if they were within the normal production line. “A quantity of 80 pairs will be destined for donation – the managements of Fisp and Bompel will define the organizations that will receive the footwear,” he anticipates.

Fisp is organized by Abraseg (Brazilian Association of Distributors and Importers of Safety and Occupational Protection Equipment and Products), Animaseg, and Sindiseg (Union of the Safety Material Industry). The event takes place simultaneously with 13th Fire Show – International Fire Fair. Together, the trade fairs are expected to attract an audience of over 50,000 visitors and 700 exhibiting companies.
