A success in the 2018 edition of Fisp – International Safety and Protection Fair, the safety footwear factory, mandatory PPE used in the prevention of occupational accidents, will be set up inside this year's fair, which takes place from October 18 to 20 at the São Paulo Expo. The partnership between the Brazilian Institute of Leather, Footwear and Artifact Technology, IBTeC, and the Conforto company will enable the production of pairs of models developed for worker protection.
The factory will occupy 792 square meters of the exhibition area at the São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center and will have workers operating a real assembly line.
According to Maurício Macedo, CEO of Fiera Milano Brasil, organizer of Fisp, the largest and most important safety and protection event in Latin America, demonstrating a production process at the trade fair is important because it showcases the technology involved in such an important item for workers. “It is also an opportunity for business owners to showcase the innovations involved in the entire production system, market trends, and upcoming solutions.”.
Organized and promoted by Fiera Milano Brasil in partnership with the Brazilian Association of Distributors and Importers of Occupational Safety and Protection Equipment and Products (ABRASEG), the National Association of the Occupational Safety and Protection Equipment Industry (ANIMASEG), and the Union of the Safety Equipment Industry (SINDISEG), FISP reaches its 23rd edition.
The Brazilian workplace safety equipment market had an annual GDP of R$ 16.61 billion in 2020. Safety footwear manufacturers accounted for annual revenue of R$ 2.43 billion, according to Animaseg.
