Fisp and Fire Show 2024 open their doors in October in São Paulo. Larger and with more new features in occupational safety and fire control

Trade fairs will showcase technological and sustainable innovations from over 700 brands in the Occupational Health and Safety, prevention, and fire fighting sector at the São Paulo Expo

São Paulo, September 2024 – The main innovations in the occupational safety and fire prevention and protection sectors will take pride of place from October 22 to 24 of this year, in São Paulo. The São Paulo Expo Exhibition and Convention Center will host Fisp – 24th International Safety and Protection Fair and Fire Show – 15th International Fire Fair.

The event now spans five pavilions—one more than in the previous edition—and, with the addition of the Innovation Space, an area at the event’s entrance designed to highlight the industry’s most innovative products and services, the events are expected to welcome more than 50,000 visitors and approximately 700 exhibiting brands, according to estimates by Fiera Milano Brasil, the organizer and promoter of the trade shows. “We saw a 20% increase in the number of exhibitors compared to the 2022 edition,” says Regina Silva, director of the trade shows.

O visitor registration it is already open, and interested companies in exhibiting can access this LINK.

The curation of the Innovation Space is the responsibility of ANIMASEG (National Association of the Work Safety and Protection Equipment Industry) and its executive director, Raul Casanova, who is also a director at ABRASEG (an entity that brings together and represents Work Safety and Protection Importers in Brazil), shares some details. “The Innovation Space at the entrance of the fair will feature displays of innovation and sustainability in safety equipment and services showcasing what the visitor will find at the event, and if they are interested in learning more, they can head directly to that manufacturer's booth.”.

Casanova also brings details from the Brazilian Congress on Occupational Safety and Medicine, a highlight of the Fisp program. He will address topics such as workplace ergonomics, social risks, training and education, the effectiveness of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), etc.

For this congress, Casanova continues, 15 national entities were brought together, such as occupational physicians (ANAMT), safety engineers (ANEST); ergonomists (ABERGO); occupational hygienists (ABHO); safety technicians (FENATEST); occupational nurses, safety professionals (ABRAPHITEST); professors (ANDEST), and Occupational Health and Safety companies (ABRESST).

“It is very important that the Fairs have more technical content, and that is why we are working toward that. This congress reflects the joint effort of various organizations in favor of occupational safety,” Casanova points out.

International Business Round

Also through ANIMASEG, via the Brazilian Safety project, a strategic alliance with ApexBrasil, there will be a Business Roundtable that will bring 10 international buyers to the table with Brazilian manufacturers of PPE and CPE (collective protection equipment). This roundtable will take place during the trade fairs and will facilitate more than 300 meetings over the three days of the event.

According to information from ANIMASEG, representatives from South Africa, Colombia, Honduras, and Portugal have been confirmed so far, in addition to other countries expected to confirm their attendance in the coming days. The meetings will be held at the manufacturers' booths and at the Brazilian Safety booth.

For more information and to participate in the Brazilian Safety International Business Round, contact ANIMASEG at (11) 95039-4141, or by email: cintia@braziliansafety.com.br.

The Brazilian Safety project was developed by ANIMASEG in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil). Its objective is to support PPE and CPEC manufacturing companies—such as helmets, eyewear, footwear, gloves, vests, etc., all with the necessary approvals for commercialization in international markets.

In addition to this support, the Brazilian Safety project takes manufacturing companies of individual and collective protection equipment to international trade fairs in order to publicize and promote the PPE and EPCs produced in Brazil.

Security Model Factory

IBTeC (Brazilian Leather, Footwear and Artifact Technology Institute) and Marluvas, Professional Equipment, will set up the Model Safety Factory in a 700-square-meter area inside Fisp, allowing visitors to experience tracking a complete footwear production line in real time.

The project's development team is preparing three different production models (in this case, three different types of safety footwear), using unprecedented processes, always with a focus on sustainability. The expectation of the IBTeC technical coordinator, Paulo Model, who is responsible for the project's implementation, “is that 600 pairs of shoes will be produced during the three days of the fair.”.

In addition to Fiera Milano Brasil as the organizer of the trade fairs, Fire Show is organized by Abiex (Brazilian Association of Fire Fighting Equipment and High-Pressure Cylinder Industries). Meanwhile, Fisp is partnered with the Brazilian Association of Distributors and Importers of Occupational Safety and Protection Equipment and Products (Abraseg), the National Association of the Occupational Safety and Protection Equipment Industry (Animaseg), and the Union of the Safety Material Industry (Sindiseg).
