Together at the S\u00e3o Paulo Expo, the events translated into business the expectations of a revived market for segments such as special.<\/em><\/p>\n \n S\u00e3o Paulo, October 2018\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 With a strong presence of visiting buyers, the 22nd edition<\/strong> yes FISP \u2013 International Safety and Protection Fair<\/strong> and a 13th Fire Show \u2013 International Fire Fair<\/strong> showed that the occupational safety and protection, and rescue and fire protection sectors are set to begin next year with renewed momentum for growth. The events took place simultaneously from October 3 to 5 at the S\u00e3o Paulo Expo, bringing together 50,000 visitors and over 700 exhibiting companies. The trade shows serve segments such as special clothing lines, facial protection, safety gloves for various industrial sectors, footwear, ergonomic belts and protective creams, rescue and fire protection, among others.<\/p>\n \u201cThe visiting public and exhibitors believed in the combined events. Those who came looking for knowledge, new technologies, products, and services for the greater safety and protection of workers were not disappointed. And at the booths, companies are excited about the excellent technical level and the purchasing decision-making power of the visitors,\u201d reports Rimantas Sipas, commercial director of Cipa Fiera Milano. Over the course of three days, safety engineers and technicians, nursing professionals, psychologists, firefighters, and industry executives packed the pavilion aisles.<\/p>\n Raul Casanova, president of Animaseg \u2013 National Association of the Work Safety and Protection Equipment Industry, evaluates that \u201cthe results were extraordinary. I heard from several exhibitors that they had twice as many visitors compared to previous editions.<\/p>\n The evaluation was also positive for the president of Abraseg \u2013 Brazilian Association of Distributors and Importers of Occupational Safety and Protection Equipment and Products. \u201cThe members were satisfied with the results of the fair. The volume and quality of visitors who came to see our products was a pleasant surprise. We noticed a longer stop time at each booth. So much so that many came on more than one day,\u201d celebrates Jacques Levy, president of the entity.<\/p>\n Market leaders, such as DuPont, praised the visitor turnout. \u201cWith each edition, Fisp has improved the qualification of its visitors. The trade show is an important showcase to display our technological solutions in materials for chemical and thermal protection. Every day, we received many customers,\u201d comments Renata Liebel, DuPont Communications Leader for Tyvek.<\/p>\n \u201cThis edition of Fisp is surprising us, because traffic usually picks up on the second day, but we\u2019ve had new customers from all over Brazil since the opening. We\u2019ve always participated\u2014this is the sixth edition\u2014and every year the trade show surprises us. Our goal for orders over three days was at least R$ 1.5 million, and we\u2019re already reaching that mark on just the second day of the fair,\u201d celebrates Marilyn N\u00f3brega, Administrative Supervisor at MG Cinto.<\/p>\n For Danilo Oliveira, Marketing Manager at Marluvas, the fair\u2019s progress this year is clear, with an increasingly qualified group of visitors. For him, the event was a good opportunity to change the way the company approaches customers. \u201cIn addition to building relationships, we\u2019ve changed our strategy for attracting customers and generating sales. We expect to close R$ 3 million in orders before, during, and after the trade show.\u201d<\/p>\n But beyond the contact at the booths, Fisp also organized business matchmaking sessions in partnership with Animaseg and Apex-Brasil. There were over 550 national and international sessions, exceeding initial expectations. The national sessions, which took place for the first time at the trade show, featured around 150 meetings where Brazilian companies of all sizes were able to negotiate directly with interested parties. Meanwhile, in the international area, there were more than 380 meetings with 20 buyers coming from Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Panama, and Peru, boosting the export of Brazilian products in the coming years.<\/p>\n Fire Show generates business opportunities<\/strong><\/p>\n The rescue and fire protection segment was well represented at the Fire Show, with particular emphasis on international interest in Brazilian companies. GPM Marketing Manager Felipe Araujo says, \u201cWe had new buyers, including some from other countries, because GPM wants to export and expand its reach in Mercosur. Companies from Chile, Argentina, China, and India attended. The trade show has a strong international presence. The goal was to generate R$ 100,000 in leads, and it\u2019s possible we\u2019ll even exceed that figure by the end of the event.\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cAttendance has been positive due to the high-quality audience, among other factors,\u201d says Regenildo Bessoni, Commercial Director at Segurimax. \u201cWe\u2019re looking for companies that resell fire safety equipment. In addition to the domestic market, we export to countries in Latin America. \u201cOur assessment is that we will meet the R$ target of 2 million in sales here inside the pavilion,\u201d says the executive.<\/p>\n Executive Secretary H\u00e9ctor Almir\u00f3n, from Abiex \u2013 Brazilian Association of Fire Fighting Equipment and High-Pressure.<\/p>\n Content and professional qualification <\/strong><\/p>\n Throughout the two events, several panels and technical courses were held. Among them were the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Professional Qualification Show and the Techshow, free lectures presented by exhibitors. Among the highlights, seven OHS professional qualification courses were organized during the schedule. The Risk Diagnosis and Fire Prevention Course also took place.<\/p>\n The organization estimates that more than 10,000 professionals attended the content presentations.<\/p>\n Fisp was organized by Abraseg (Brazilian Association of Distributors and Importers of Safety and Occupational Protection Equipment and Products), Animaseg, and Sindiseg (Union of the Safety Material Industry).
