During Fisp and Fire Show, the Brazilian Leather, Footwear and Artifact Technology Institute (IBTeC) and Marluvas Professional Equipment are holding the fourth edition of the Model Safety Factory project, standing out as an interactive attraction. In a 700-square-meter space, the public will be able to follow the production of 600 pairs of safety and occupational shoes live, at 200 pairs per day.
The project brings together 50 partner companies, including suppliers of inputs, components, and machinery, focusing on innovation and industrial efficiency. According to Paulo Model, technical director of IBTeC, the initiative is a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs in the sector. “Our goal is to introduce new technologies that can be implemented in industrial plants, optimizing production and the safety of personal protective equipment (PPE),” he states.
Among the equipment presented, Garudan's machines, which specialize in sewing, cutting, and laser engraving, stand out. Maurício Oliveira, the company's industrial mechanic, emphasizes the machines“ differential: ”We are working with two of the four footwear models, and our equipment features a direct-drive motor, which eliminates the need for an auxiliary motor, making the process more agile and efficient."
Furthermore, Milton Mello, director of Formello Formas, reinforces the importance of lasts in footwear production. “Each shoe model requires a specific last, and we are using direct injection technologies, which guarantee greater precision and durability for the products,” Mello explains.
In all, four models of footwear aimed at industrial use are being produced, two of which are occupational models and two are safety models with a dual-density PU sole, a technology that offers greater resistance and comfort, especially in environments that require protection and durability. “We want to offer event visitors the chance to observe up close the practical application not only of materials, but also of processes, products, and machinery that guarantee quality and high productivity,” adds Paulo Model.
