The partnership between Dräger and a FISP | International Fair of Safety and Protection it has been happening since the very first editions. This year, the fair, which is reaching its 21st edition, will be held from October 5 to 7, 2016, at São Paulo Expo, in São Paulo. “For Dräger, FISP is the most important event on our calendar in Brazil. For us, participating in the event is the chance to be close to our customers and partners, in addition to having the opportunity to showcase product launches and industry news. Strengthening relationships, hearing directly from our customers about their needs, and understanding their daily challenges is fundamental and strategic for our company in Brazil, and there is nothing better than a major, well-established, and traditional event like FISP to do that.” comments Adriano Morelli, segment manager at Dräger Brazil.
Headquartered in Lübeck, Dräger is now an international leader in the fields of medical and safety technology. The product portfolio of the Hospital division includes anesthesia workstations, mechanical ventilators, surgical lights, ceiling supply units, monitoring equipment, IT solutions, and accessories and consumables. The Safety division, in turn, offers fixed and mobile gas detection systems, respiratory protection, firefighting equipment, and alcohol and drug detectors.
For FISP 2016, it will present the line Gas Secure – wireless gas detector which offers the first truly wireless gas detector suitable for industrial applications. Measurements are performed using optical filters and an infrared (IR) sensor using MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical System) technology. With low power consumption, Gas Secure is used to detect the presence of hydrocarbon gases and alert operators to the risk of fire or explosion. Also, it will be presented the PSS 7000 NFPA version (National Fire Protection Agency), self-contained breathing apparatus. The new generation of self-contained breathing apparatus designed for professional firefighters combines robust design, cutting-edge ergonomic aspects, a wide variety of configurations, and options to meet individual needs. The PSS 7000 is a self-contained breathing apparatus with hoses integrated into the carrying system and reflective strips on the harness, featuring a harness and waist belt padded with a special polymer. The design, construction, and materials were selected to withstand repetitive heavy-duty work and the severe environmental conditions faced by professional firefighters, while maintaining maximum comfort and ease of use.
The advanced, compression-molded cushioned inner lining, combined with high-temperature performance, offers excellent wearing characteristics. Friction buckles, heavy-duty stainless steel adjustment, and aramid strap adjustment belts withstand heavy use while ensuring quick and easy donning and doffing of the backplate. The carbon fiber composite backplate offers high strength with low weight and excellent chemical resistance. All major components of the Dräger PSS 7000 are designed for quick and simple assembly and disassembly to allow for easy repair and maintenance. The new quick-release harness suspension allows for quick and easy removal and replacement of the shoulder harness and waist belt assemblies. The pneumatic assembly of all electronic components features a quick-connect fitting for rapid attachment and removal. All of these features combine to ensure fast turnaround times. The quick-coupling connection system allows cylinders to be attached quickly and securely to the respiratory protection equipment, and the Bodyguard 7000 pressure gauge ensures greater safety and comfort for the user.
“FISP manages to bring together a select audience committed to the sector, making its relevance to the segment increasingly strategic. The event brings technical discussions and companies from all over the world, which places Brazil among the top 5 in the world in occupational safety. Part of this achievement, the fostering of discussions, life-saving standards, and companies committed to the lives of Brazilian workers happens because there is an event of such expression as FISP in our country.”, concludes Morelli.
The FISP is promoted by Cipa Fiera Milano with the realization of the Brazilian Association of Distributors and Importers of Occupational Safety and Protection Equipment and Products (ABRASEG), National Association of the Industry of Work Safety and Protection Equipment (ANIMASEGand the Security Material Industry Union (SINDISEG). The event brings together 700 exhibitors, in area of 42 thousand m2, with the expectation of attracting 50 million professionals in the sector.
