3M brings height safety solutions to FISP

And for the safety of workers from the most diverse segments.

Recognized as one of the companies with the largest and most innovative portfolio of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the world, in addition to offering specific training focused on occupational safety, 3M do Brazil is showcasing new products at the 21st edition of the International Safety and Protection Fair (FISP). The trade show takes place from October 5 to 7 (Wednesday to Friday), at the Imigrantes Exhibition Center in São Paulo.

The main highlight of these new offerings is the presentation of services provided by 3M Brazil's Personal Safety Division. Aiming to promote the exchange of knowledge, debate, and awareness about the importance of using personal protective equipment, the company offers everything from training on the correct use and maintenance of products and their benefits during professional activity to systems, projects, and height safety consulting. One of these solutions is the 3M E-A-RfitTM, which uses hardware and software to perform protection fit testing. Also part of the list of services are the 3M Active Safety electronic management system and eSocial preparation advisory services.

There are two 3M booths at FISP. Named 3M Experience, the first one, covering 418 m², aims to offer visitors the experience of learning about the personal protective equipment developed by 3M. The products will be separated by the market segment where they are typically used – mining and metal industries, pharmaceutical and hospital industries, agribusiness and food service, as well as oil & gas and chemicals.

In addition, the booth features a 5D area with a video presentation that immerses visitors in situations of high noise exposure that can lead to hearing loss. All of this is to show that hearing loss is 100% preventable.

Dedicated to demonstrating all fall protection equipment, the second booth occupies an area of 210 m² and will feature a complete structure where subject matter experts will demonstrate techniques and the use of PPE. “We will also make some products available, such as full-body harnesses, so the public can try them on and see how comfortable they are,” explains Elizandro Alves, marketing manager for the fall protection line at 3M Brazil's Personal Safety Division. With last year's global acquisition of Capital Safety, 3M has become one of the leading companies in offering fall protection products—featuring the 3M Altiseg and 3M DBI-SALA lines.

Another new feature from 3M at FISP is the holding of quick training sessions during the three days of the fair. To participate, you need to register at the company's booth. The capacity is 20 people per workshop. Check out the schedule:

In addition to the training sessions, 3M experts give lectures during the general schedule of the Fair. On the 5th (Wednesday), the topic was “Anchor Systems for Work at Heights” with speaker Guilherme Amaral, 3M Engineering Systems Specialist.

On the 6th (Thursday), from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Emílio Gouvea, Business Development Manager at 3M do Brasil, will speak about “Hearing Protection – Fit Testing as a method for awareness and correct use.”.

On the 7th (Friday), the lecture will have the theme “Respiratory Protection – PPR Updates” and will be led by Milton Villa, hygienist and Business Development Manager at 3M Brazil.

FISP takes place from October 5 to 7 (Wednesday to Friday), from 1 PM to 9 PM, at the São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, Rodovia dos Imigrantes, Km 1.5, Água Funda, São Paulo, SP. The event offers free transportation departing from the Jabaquara Metro station (Rua Nelson Fernandes, 450).
