Industries and companies that wish to adapt their production lines and need guidance on how to expand the manufacturing of masks, face shields, alcohol, and hospital garments will be able to count on free mentoring from Senai. “The Conexão Senai program is a national initiative that will serve companies throughout Brazil to combat the pandemic and support the production of protective measures with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Our goal is to help and promote the industry's ability to produce,” explains Felipe Couto, Manager of Innovation and Productivity at the Fiep System.
Senai consultants will help companies create an action plan for production, in addition to providing guidance on the technical specifications required in the manufacture of each item and the need to consult the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (Anvisa). Financing lines will also be suggested should any investment be necessary. “We will make the experience of our consultants in lean manufacturing, process and product standards, and quality management available, aiming to accelerate and adapt the industries” manufacturing park. The industry's role is to produce goods and products, and this purpose proves even more necessary today, since it will allow healthcare professionals, the service sector, the industry itself, and the rest of the population to be better protected."
Industrial sector companies of all sizes, with plants in Brazil, may apply. The training is online, with a duration of eight hours. 250 mentorships will be held throughout the country. The company must fill out its registration while spots are available. Those interested can apply until May 31st, through Industrial Innovation Call website.
