Exhibitors highlight technologies and new services at FISP 2022

International Security and Protection Fair returns to offer Latin America's main showcase for companies in the sector. Event takes place from October 18 to 20 at São Paulo Expo

São Paulo, October 2022 – Largest and most important event of its kind in Latin America, the FISP – International Trade Fair for Safety and Protection will bring together the main players of the sector in its 23rd edition, which takes place from October 18 to 20 at São Paulo Expo.

Organized and promoted by Fiera Milano Brasil in partnership with the Brazilian Association of Distributors and Importers of Occupational Safety and Protection Equipment and Products (ABRASEG), the National Association of the Occupational Safety and Protection Equipment Industry (ANIMASEG), and the Union of the Safety Material Industry (SINDISEG), the exhibition will feature the presence of over 700 brands*, which will showcase new products and promote the generation of new business for the sector.

One of the companies that will use FISP as a platform for launches is Marluvas. At the event, the company will highlight footwear from the Nexus and Colors lines, which combine protection with style. The safety sneakers from the Nexus line are made from eco-friendly fabric and feature a Certificate of Approval (CA), a composite toe cap, and a puncture-resistant insole. They offer the softness of an EVA sole—the same technology used in athletic sneakers, yet disruptive in the world of PPE.

The colors line, on the other hand, features models with pink or blue details. “The goal is to provide representation and appreciation for the diverse audiences looking for options more connected to their identity, an idea that is increasingly present in the safety and security segment,” says Felipe Thalacker, the company's commercial director.

New technologies

For more demanding activities, the new product presented at FISP will be the Premier M Micro Composite boot, which combines innovative design, comfort, and maximum protection. The product is made of microfiber, featuring a composite toe cap and a puncture-resistant insole. It features climatech technology – an intelligent thermoregulating system for the feet, in addition to a TPU system in the sole to provide the user with support and stability on uneven terrain.

Another heavy hitter in the market, the Danny will launch new glove and fall protection lines at FISP, which will be revealed exclusively at the event. But it will also showcase hi-tech innovations, such as gamification and virtual reality (VR) resources offered to customers. “With the game, it is possible to simulate the virtual scenario of an industry, in which the player/user must choose the PPE to work. Depending on the glove chosen and the type of risk it protects against, the user interacts with various types of objects that come toward them,” explains André Sudré, the company’s director.

Danny will also introduce a new 3D tool integrated into its website, which will allow for a more detailed visualization of its PPE prior to purchase, and an augmented reality (AR) service capable of providing an immersive experience through projections of gloves in the user's environment. Finally, the company will also announce a new digital catalog which, in addition to technical and commercial information, will feature responsive resources—such as customization through special filters, favorite product selection, and notes on the product page.

Inventor of materials that are benchmarks in the manufacture of PPE, the DuPont also participates in FISP. The company will highlight solutions from several lines at its booth, including Tyvek® Tychem®, fabrics that guarantee advanced protection against a series of biological and chemical hazards, among them toxic vapors or liquid contaminations. It will also demonstrate applications of Nomex®, used in garments for thermal protection, and of Kevlar®, fiber recognized for its unmatched performance in mechanical protection, which also offers lightness and durability when used in gloves, sleeves, and other PPE against cuts and abrasion.

“FISP is a very important event on the DuPont Personal Protection calendar. It will be rewarding to reconnect with partners and highlight our technologies, the result of a commitment of over two centuries to science and innovation,” comments Rayanne Leivas, Marketing and Communications Specialist for DuPont Latin America.

Edition generates great anticipation

In this edition, FISP is expected to receive over 50,000 visitors*, including managers and others responsible for environmental, occupational health, and safety management in organizations, as well as professionals from related activities (nursing, psychology, speech therapy, engineering, risk inspectors, corporate security, firefighters, and procurement, among others).

In addition to the product, equipment, and service exhibition area of over 42,000 square meters, the event, held simultaneously with the 14th Fire Show – International Fire Fair, will offer courses, workshops, and seminars aimed at professional updating. “It will be a special edition after a two-year hiatus during which we were unable to hold the in-person gathering. During this period, however, the importance of technologies for the protection of people became more evident than ever, and companies in the sector are moving to further qualify the market,” states Regina Silva, International Sales Portfolio Director at Fiera Milano Brasil.
