- Latin America's largest occupational safety and fire-fighting event will bring together 800 exhibiting brands and more than 60,000 expected visitors
- New Play Safer Pavilion features live factory, 27th COMBRASEMT, lecture arena, and PPE fashion show
São Paulo, August 2026 – Only 30% of Brazilian workers use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly. Even so, the safety industry generated R$ 21.05 billion in 2024, according to Animaseg—a market of similar size to that of sports and fitness apparel, which generated R$ 23.2 billion in revenue during the same period, according to IEMI. Given this scenario, the industry is betting on a new way to present its solutions to the market.
Between October 6 and 8, the São Paulo Expo hosts the 25th edition of Fisp – International Safety and Protection Fair – and the 16th edition of Fire Show – International Fire Fair, bringing together 800 exhibiting brands and more than 60,000 professionals from 48 countries around technology, usability, and high performance for the sector.
The new edition also arrives larger in concept. The entire visitor experience now revolves around the Play Safer Pavilion (Pavilion 8), designed to break away from the traditional static product showcase and transform the fair into an environment for experiencing the sector's prevention processes and culture firsthand.
“The expectation for FISP and Fire Show 2026 demonstrates the strength and maturity of a market that has expanded its strategic importance within organizations. Today, investing in occupational safety and health, fire prevention and firefighting means protecting people, ensuring the continuity of operations, meeting regulatory requirements, and increasing the competitiveness of companies, says Augusto Andrade, portfolio and international sales director at Fiera Milano Brasil.
The idea is that the buyer and the technical audience are no longer satisfied with seeing the product sitting still in the booth. “They want to see the technology working, understand the process, and leave there with a faster business decision,” comments Andrade.
The focus on hands-on demonstrations aligns with the growth of the safety industry and the urgent need to reduce workplace accident rates in the country. According to the Animaseg 2025 Safety Equipment Yearbook, the sector grew by 9% in 2024, driven primarily by safety clothing (R$ 6.80 billion, 32.3% of the market), safety footwear (R$ 4.10 billion, 19.5%), and safety gloves (R$ 3.96 billion, 18.8%). Hospital gloves (R$ 2.52 billion), respiratory protection (R$ 1.21 billion), and fall protection equipment (R$ 1.04 billion) round out the ranking of the most significant verticals.
Play Safer Pavilion: where the industry happens live The Play Safer Pavilion was designed to be one of the most dynamic and interactive spaces at FISP and Fire Show 2026. The proposal is to bring together, in a single environment, experiences that bring visitors closer to the reality of the industry, combining practical demonstrations, technical content, and innovation.
There will be attractions such as the IBTEC Model Factory, which will showcase a functioning production line; the unprecedented FISP & Fire Fashion Show, a technical fashion show presenting the technological evolution of protective equipment; the 27th COBRASEMT Congress, with a high-level program aimed at professional updating; the Techshow, featuring launches, products, and services from exhibitors; the Cipa & Incêndio Magazine podcast in partnership with Fábrica Podcast; as well as the ABNT/CB-032 auditorium promoting free lectures.
“The great differentiator of this space is precisely the integration of knowledge and practical application. Visitors will be able to attend a lecture on a specific topic, observe related technologies operating live, and speak directly with experts and manufacturers. Therefore, we recommend that the public set aside dedicated time to explore the Play Safer Pavilion. More than just visiting an area of the trade show, it will be an opportunity to experience firsthand how the industry is evolving and what the main trends will be for the coming years, comments the executive from Fiera Milano Brasil.
“More than just product trade shows, FISP and Fire Show have established themselves as an environment where manufacturers, distributors, top buyers, technical professionals, managers, and decision-makers meet to discuss trends, discover technologies, and establish connections that drive the sector's development. This diversity of profiles makes the event an important market barometer and a platform for generating business and disseminating knowledge, concludes Andrade.
